As you get ready to think about the type of internship you want to do, you will also want to identify companies where you can do your internship. In this assignment, you will assemble a list of 10 companies where you might like to do your internship. Ideally, these companies are ones that hire interns and have an internship program that you would be a good fit for. Make a list of your 10 companies and the types of positions that they hire interns for. As you apply to different companies, it is important that hiring managers at each company see that you have gone to the effort to customize your cover letter, and sometimes your resume, for that particular company. This includes references to the company, its location, and the position you are applying for among other things. Candidates with form letters and generic resumes are often overlooked. For this assignment, you will select three of the companies you identified in the Identifying your Prospective Employers assignment in module one. Ideally, these will be your top three choices of where you would like to do your internship.  Then, in three separate documents, write the salutation and the first paragraph of your cover letter in a way the specifically addresses this company and the position you would be applying for.  Write it as if you were actually applying for a position.
